Big Blue

Big Blue

Our scope which we named "Big Blue". She's a big light sucking 12" monster that weighs about 85 lbs. The reason we built the observatory.
Some weather gear on the wall, along with a map of the moon, although it will keep me indoors when full - too bright!
The white thing on the door in back is my "Flat field" target. I take a few shots of that to process out the dust and crud in my images from my dirty sensors.
Thanks to Darwin Teague for the Bahtinov mask seen hanging on the wall. That's a huge life saver for fast focusing!
